 Distinguished by its bright scarlet head and underparts and conspicuous blue bar across the mantle. Back and rump are shining green.
Its flight feathers are green suffused with blue. A noisy parrot that produces a wide variety of raucous squawks and screeches and is very agile when flying in amongst the trees.
This parrot is most active (and noisy) at dawn and dusk with the best vantage point being the resort's organic garden.
